The Rising Tide by Jason deCires Taylor is a temporary installation situated beside Vauxhall Bridge on the beach below Albert Embankment. Located a mile away from the House of Parliament, the four horsemen of the apocalypse is a political statement on the impact of fossil fuel and the reluctance by our leaders to tackle climate change. The sculptures, which features horses with heads modeled after oil well pumps, are only visible during low tides. Two of the riders in business suits looks away in defiance. The Rising Tide installation is part of the Totally Thames Festival taking place throughout the month of September 2015.

Carsten Höller: Decision Hayward Gallery at Southbank Centre has always hosted some pretty amazing and immersive exhibitions such as Martin Creed's What's the point of it? and Lights . So it was pretty exciting news when they announced that they will be hosting Carsten Höller latest exhibition -  Decision , featuring some of his best installations and more. Twins Höller's first installation is the entrance itself, Decisions Corridors - a labyrinth of twisting pitch black corridors where visitors have to feel their way in. It sets the bar for what was to come. For example Pill Clock , a clock installation, drops a single red and white capsule pill every three seconds. Visitors are welcomed to pick a single capsule and swallow it should they wish. Then there's the Two Roaming Beds , which is sadly not available for the general public except those who pre-booked to sleep overnight in them. Anyone who has followed my Instagram account will know how much I love spiral staircases. From traditional 17th century cantilevered stone staircases like the beautiful Tulip staircase in Queen's House to the majestic  Brewer staircase at Heals  and modern classics like the one in City Hall . If there's an interesting staircase, particularly the spiral kind, you will bet I will be there photographing it. If you are like me then, you should be adding the Wellcome Trust to your list of venues to visit with interesting and architecturally inspiring staircase to complement their unique displays of medical artifacts. After a multi-million pound redevelopment, Wellcome Colleciton in Euston Road has finally unveiled the Wilkinson Eyre designed asymmetrical spiral staircase, which connects the ground floor to the equally brilliant and redesigned Reading Room and restaurant on the top. Hibernacula is a pop up art gallery featuring photographs, prints, poetry and fine art by some of East London finest artists. You can find them at an old office beside Leytonstone London Underground station. One of the artist who is exhibiting there is Russell Frost of Hooksmith Press . Originally from New Zeland, Russell has a small selection of his Letterpress prints on display as well as a working vintage letter press and London Underground's famous Johnston typeface press blocks. Up till 26 February, you can have anything you like set in arguably one of the world's famous typeface. So, what are you waiting for? Go.

Tate Modern is hosting an exhibition based on the great American artist, Roy Lichtenstein. Alongside Andy Warhol, Lichtenstein was an influential part of the Pop Art visual movement. The exhibition at the former Bankside power station will bring together and celebrate 125 of his best paintings and sculptures for the first time in twenty years. These includes such classics as  Whaam! , Drowning Girl and Oh, Jeff... I Love You, Too... But... Lichtenstein: A Retrospective opens this week and will go on until 27 May 2013. Tickets are available for £14. So, fans of Pop Art, go get your comic art fix. An app accompanying the exhibition is also available for iOS devices  (only - boo!). Incidentally, BrewDog, everyone's favourite rebel brewer, has crafted a special edition Lichtenstein beer called the Torpedo beer, featuring the artist's Torpedo... Los! artwork. Awesomeness.

The power to control the rain is one that many of us wish we have - to let it rain as nature intends, and yet to stay completely dry at all times. Even if technology has somewhat allowed us to partially control the weather , it appears unlikely we will ever wield complete control of the rain in our life time. But thanks to a recent art experiment by Random International at the Barbican Centre's The Curve room, we can now at least imagine what it would feel like to control the rain. From 4 October until 3 March 2013, visitors has to put their complete trust in the workings of the  'Rain Room' , a room where it always rain - except where you stand.
